Abstract :
Academic technologies, especially online or web-enhanced courses, have a significant role in the creation of high quality learning environments. MOODLE is an Open Source e-learning system which provides an excellent platform for resources and communication tools. MOODLE has been used at the College of Health Sciences (CHS) since 2008 and the Integrated Sciences Division (ISD) pioneered the use of this platform for all its courses. The aim of this survey was to evaluate the ISD courses on MOODLE in terms of their usefulness as learning material, its ease of use for students and the effectiveness of this platform for optimizing learning in order to improve the quality of MOODLE-based instruction. Overall, results indicate participants´ positive responses on the benefits of using the MOODLE platform to access the instructional materials and its ease of use.
