Abstract :
In order to evaluate the operating characteristics of RTV anti-pollution flashover coatings used in Guangdong Province, a series of experiments and tests were carried out on RTV coatings operating in different natural environments with operating periods ranging from 3 years to 8 years. The research results showed that the appearance of coatings were affected by operating years, pollution areas, pollution sources and methods of suspension. There was different hydrophobicity on different location, and the weakest hydrophobicity located on the outer part of upper shed. The hydrophobicity of coatings was affected by the types of pollution sources. The flashover voltage of coatings was directly affected by the hydrophobicity distribution. There was a certain correspondence between the appearance and the flashover voltage of anti-pollution flashover coatings.
