Abstract :
In this paper, we analyze the daily precipitation data statistics of 17 meteorological stations from 1953 to 2010 in Jiangxi Province with the application of GIS technology and Mann-Kendall (M-K) method. The result shows that there is a single peak distribution for the monthly precipitation during the year in Jiangxi Province, the precipitation in main flood season from April to June is about 45% of the total precipitation, and the maximum and minimum of annual precipitation respectively accounts for 136.9% and 66.9% of the average amount. The conclusion also shows that the relatively high value areas from December to June are mostly located in the northeast, mainly concentrated in Yushan and Guixi, and those from July to November are westward to Lushan, located in the North of Jiangxi. Also, there is a basic consistency for the tendency value in the main flood season and the spatial variation trend of annual precipitation, and an overall decrease is shown gradually from northeast to southwest. Moreover, an insignificant rising tendency in the annual precipitation from 1953 to 2010 in Jiangxi is shown, with an abrupt change in 1993 and the confidence of 95%.
