Abstract
It is necessary to calculate and evaluate the effects on communication efficiency of antenna caused by the irregular terrain, so as to avoid the adverse effects on communication caused by terrain reasonably and make full use of all communication resources of shortwave stations. The remote communication performance of HF antenna is analyzed quantitatively, using the antenna radiation simulation results in irregular terrain conditions. Matching gain is a weight gain which is the combination of the actual antenna gain and incoming wave probability statistics. On this basis, the communication effects of antenna can be preferable.
