  • Abstract
    In this paper, we combine evolutionary algorithm with Cadence design environment to do research on analog integrated circuit automated design. This combined approach can make full use of the advantage of Cadence design environment on circuit simulation and evolutionary algorithm on automated design. With the strong analytical and computational capabilities, Cadence design environment can be competent for almost all aspects of analog integrated circuit design. In the field of circuit design, evolutionary algorithm can stochastic search circuit topology and optimize the component parameter, it has the potential of assisting designers to accomplish the circuit design work, even can liberate designers from dull heavy design work in the future. We design three experiments to explain the combination of Cadence design environment and evolutionary algorithm, results show that this combination is practicable, promising and has practical values in engineering applications.
