Abstract :
To provide QoS support in HF networks, this paper analyzes the traffic models in HF network, combined with the characteristics of HF network. According to these traits, the requirements that need to be considered in queue scheduling algorithm of HF gateway is given. JoBS algorithm, which may satisfy the requirements, is suggested to be used in HF gateways. Through simulation in NS2, JoBS is proven to be suitable in HF environment. Besides, an exponent weighting method on loss rate is proposed to solve the problem of priority inversion when the incoming rate is close to the channel rate.
