Abstract
The application of underwater acoustic communication is more and more widely, but the problems of the limited channel bandwidth, strong noise, and strong multi-path and other issues seriously affect the quality of information transmission. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technology has features of high bandwidth efficiency, good ability to resistance to multipath and impulse noise, so a high-performance underwater acoustic communication scheme based on OFDM is proposed here, which combines the Trellis Coded Modulation (TCM) and Frequency Hopping (FH) communication technology. Simulation results show that the scheme not only has higher band utilization rate, but also can effectively reduce the error rate and improve the reliability of the system.
