Abstract :
The active triple-panel sound insulation structure using planar loudspeaker as the secondary actuators can be easily implemented and has better sound insulation performance in the low frequency range. One of the key problems encountered when implementing such control system is error sensing strategy. In this study, the error sensing strategy is established in wave-number domain by sampling structural vibration using accelerometer arrays. The theoretical model of the active triple-panel structure is firstly established using vibro-acoustic coupling method, and the response of the system is also resolved. Then, according to the expression of radiated sound power in wave-number domain, the cost function which can be easily achieved by practical measuring and will be used as the error signal is constructed by sampling the acceleration of the radiating plate using accelerometer arrays. Finally simulation results demonstrate that, the error signal sensed by the proposed approach is highly correlated with the radiated sound power of the radiating plate. Only a small number of accelerometers are needed to achieve high level noise reduction in the low frequency range of interest, which highly simplifies the system implementation.
