  • Abstract
    With the growing popularity of Global Positioning System (GPS) enabled mobile devices, a widespread using of Location-Based Service (LBS) has become reality. Due to untrusted service providers, reporting private location information may lead to several security threats. Traditional K-anonymity algorithm deals with location privacy protection problem by a cloaking region. Inspired by this idea, we propose Dynamic Cloaking Algorithm, which runs on anonymity server and turns user´s location into a dynamic cloaking region before sending to LBS Database Server. The cloaking region is generated randomly according to user´s velocity and this process is proved irreversible. Experimental results show the our algorithm obviously improves the success rate and scalability of cloaking region constructing. Our algorithm decreases the payload at LBS Database Server and has a better anonymity.
