Abstract :
This paper deals with the problem of the joint optimization of the master production schedule and maintenance strategy for a capacitated manufacturing system. In this way, an efficient production planning will allow to offer good opportunities for preventive maintenance and the maintenance policy will minimize the impacts of the potential random failures onto the initial planning. Imperfect corrective maintenance and perfect preventive maintenance are considered. The optimization problem is formulated as a Stochastic Dynamic Program. The proposed methodology provides optimal decision sequences in order to build jointly production and maintenance plans which minimize logistic costs.
