Abstract :
The rate of climate change has been speeding up with the increase of greenhouse gas emissions, and this has been a growing concern as most of them are results of human activities. In this paper we will present a mathematical formulation of oil refinery with the consideration of effects of greenhouse gas emissions. In this paper the model developed will consider two major pollutants CO2 and SO2. Taking advantage of cap and trade program for each pollutant, oil refinery would have a great chance to increase its profits. This paper proposes to combine reduction technologies for both air pollutants with existing mathematical model of oil refinery in the field. However, this proposal lacks of software implementation in order to have a prototype results to support further study.
