Implementation of the management system maintenance in SAP

This work has been completed at the Liquids Home care department at Procter and Gamble Mohammedia. The aim was to integrate progressive maintenance in the ERP SAP (System, Application, and Product). The progressive maintenance is one of the most important pillars in the IWS (Integrated Work Systems). It is responsible of maintaining equipment in good state with less money spending. Liquids Home care department is in the crucial phase of getting to Phase II on this pillar. It consists on integrating maintenance into SAP. Like every other information system, real data should be load into SAP. This data, called technical database, consists of equipment and parts, maintenance plans, and teams responsible of maintenance operations. In another hand, various parameters should be set to get the maintenance integrated with other SAP modules like stores and purchases, or finance and accounting for people cost. The update of periodic maintenance plans could also be needed to achieve this implementation. Once the load and set up phase done, we will be able to analyze more precisely our maintenance costs, find saving opportunities, and capitalize knowledge. These are the major aims of the IWS.
