Abstract :
In this paper, we investigate the problem of medium access control in 60GHz mmWave directional wireless networks, and propose an adaptive STDMA scheduling scheme for throughput enhancement. By taking advantage of directivity in millimeter-wave communication, the proposed adaptive STDMA scheduling scheme allocates a single TDMA time-slot to multiple communication links simultaneously for throughput enhancement. The co-channel interference (CCI) among links is considered in adaptive scheduling process, and related MAC design is presented in detail. We evaluate the scheduling scheme through MATLAB simulations, and compare it with existing scheduling algorithm. The results show that the proposed scheduling scheme achieves higher throughput than the existing algorithm.
