Abstract :
A novel structure of coaxial cavity filter is proposed, which is characterized by using mixed-cavities, improved performance, and good tunability. Mixed-cavities mean that the geometry shape of the cavities is different or the type of the resonators is different. In this paper, a high power bandpass filter with two transmission zeros based this new structure with different geometry shapes has been designed. The filter with passband from 1238MHz to 1306MHz exhibits a very sharp cutoff frequency, and rejection is better than 50dB from 1330MHz to 5500MHz. The characteristics of harmonic suppression and power handing capabilities are better than conventional filter.
