Abstract :
Various food safety and health events have occurred over the recent years. Therefore, how to effectively guarantee food safety is increasingly becoming an urgent issue to study and resolve. The establishment of food safety trace ability system, which takes effective tracking and tracing for food is an important means to effective protection of food safety. In this paper, we propose a vegetable safety trace ability model integrated with two-dimensional barcode technology and Web Service technology by analysis of the vegetable supply chain. The model takes two-dimensional barcode as information carrier which identifies entity object closely related to vegetable cultivation, processing, transportation, storage, marketing, and adopts Web Service Technology for processing and exchanging information. Consumers first install two-dimensional barcode reading software on intelligent terminals, and then scan the two-dimensional barcode on the vegetable product packaging through the terminal camera. The reading software sends request to the Web Service interface provided by the trace ability system, and returns vegetable trace ability information to the terminal after program parses.
