Abstract
Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) has emerged as an enabling technology to increase the data rate of wireless link and leading to green network. MIMO Systems are designed with multiple antennas at the transmitter and receiver end and with the use of multiple antennas the capacity of the communication system increases considerably. In this paper we have analyzed the performance of MIMO system for various antenna configurations. In recent years, numerous studies have been performed to investigate the performance of MIMO Systems for 2×2, 4×4 and 8×8 antenna configurations. In this paper we have presented the simulation for 12×12 antenna configuration. We have compared the MIMO technology with SISO, MISO and SIMO on the basis of capacity by simulating different scenarios in MATLAB.
