Abstract :
In this paper a new fifth-order buck converter is proposed. This converter gives better bucking features at moderate duty ratios. Through time-domain analysis steady-state converter performance and then converter elements design expressions are obtained. The proposed converter performance is compared with conventional buck converter both from voltage bucking and input current ripple point of view. State-space analysis established and then discrete-time models are obtained. Using these discrete-time transfer functions digital controller is designed and then regulation features are studied through simulations. Experimentation is on way and some more validating measurements will be provided in the final paper.
