Abstract :
The demand of multimedia streaming service has grown up rapidly all over the world. In the streaming service, the quality of service and security are issues that service providers should be concerned. Realtime Transport Protocol is the basic protocol for the real-time streaming service. In this paper, the implementation of quality of service control and security of streaming service for H.264 codec based on the Real-time Transport Protocol is introduced. The main goal of the quality of service control is to provide a smooth streaming under various network bandwidths. The security is maintained by implementing Secure Real-time Transport Protocol, which is an extension of the original Real-time Transport Protocol. The Secure Real-time Transport Protocol guarantees confidentiality, message authentication, and reply protection.
