            Abstract :
Large-scale centralized network management, such as that of cloud computing, software-defined networking (SDN), and network virtualization is becoming increasingly popular. Thus appropriate interface devices are required in which new devices are incorporated together with legacy devices to facilitate large-scale network management. To accommodate the existing communication devices, which are not expected to manage a large network, a centralized control monitoring scheme will be required. We propose a cache management algorithm that resolves the problem of increasing load by monitoring existing network equipment. We propose a Tambourine cache control method that controls the Time-to-Live (TTL) in a way similar to that used by TCP to adjust the congestion window size. This method is able to maintain the CPU utilization of SNMP devices below a certain level and guarantees the granularity of the monitoring interval. We show that this architecture can be applied with the general load balancer using content-aware switching.
