Abstract :
Long Term Evolution (LTE) is treated as a mainstream wireless communication technology from the 3G to 4G. The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) is introduced to solve the innercell interference in the downlink of LTE. However the intercell interference especially for the edge users is still remain unsolved. In this paper, we propose a novel and general interference coordination algorithm called PRB (Physical Resource Block) Priority Scheduling Algorithm (PPSA) for LTE system, so that the intercell inference can be notably restrained and the system throughput utilization is increased. The algorithm allocates the most suitable resources for users according to the neighboring cells signaling exchanging on the X2 interface. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly eliminate the intercell interference and improve the throughput of the system when compared with some classical intercell interference coordination (ICIC) algorithm. At the same time, the users´ average spectrum efficiency is also improved.
