Abstract :
Different with traditional way to detect the barcode with laser scanner, another cheaper and portable method is using the camera with the image processing algorithm. It is convenient today to use the camera of cellphones to detect the barcode. With digital image processing techniques based on computational verb theory was proposed before, in this paper, a barcode localization algorithm based on verb image processing is introduced. It combines traditional image processing techniques with computational verb image processing for object detection. The proposed algorithm shows a robust performance in the experiment, which uses a database containing over 1,000 barcode images under different environmental conditions.
