Abstract :
We herein propose the concept of an un-fuzzy controller and present simulation results for a tank level control as an example. The proposed controller is not a fuzzy controller but is similar to a fuzzy controller with respect to both configuration and performance. Making and tuning of the controller are easier than in conventional fuzzy control because the membership functions are rectangular in crisp sets, and the only control rules are ZERO and SUMi in a 3×3 control rule table. Single and double loops containing a non-interaction system were evaluated using MISEI for various terminators. The design criteria for an un-fuzzy control table are discussed.
