Abstract :
Experiment is important for learning and research in the field of power electronics. This paper presents a new methodological approach outcome based learning (OBL) to study the operation and characteristics of the high frequency inverter. This unique kit includes signal generators, power inverter and load. The operation of the structure of the inverter is using a half-bridge configuration. The students can access multipoint test and three modulation signals connected to the circuit respectively. There are tested waveforms from PWM test point, post-filter test point and DC mid-point in the kit, which could be studied only in textbooks or observed previously as part of laboratory demonstrations. The kit design is cost effective used for teaching purposes in a bachelor course of Advanced Power Electronics at the University.
