Abstract :
The REWARD project aims for developing a novel Real Time Wide Area Radiation Surveillance System. The mobile sensing units for radiation detection and monitoring are based on the integration of a gamma and neutron detector. For both detectors novel solid-state detector technologies are exploited. The units are planned to be connected to a command and control center via secure communication infrastructure. This will allow real time data processing and surveillance of radiation levels in the control room.
