Abstract :
Single crystalline Pr 1 and 5% doped KY3F10 scintillators were fabricated by Tokuyama Corp. In photoluminescence, they showed intense Pr3+ 5d-4f transition at 300 nm under 210 nm excitation with primary decay time of few ns. In X-ray induced scintillation spectra, they also exhibited intense Pr3+ 5d-4f emission around 300 nm. Scintillation decay times of Pr 1 and 5% doped KY3F10 were 4.5 and 2.5 ns, respectively. Scintillation light yields of Pr 1 and 5% doped KY3F10 were 700 and 300 ph/5.5 MeV-α in pulse height analysis.
