Abstract :
Machine to machine (M2M) communication is the technology that utilizes both wireless and wired systems to monitor physical or environmental conditions and exchange the information among different systems without direct human intervention. In the future cyber-physical system, M2M will play a very important role in data collecting. While being a promising technology, M2M communication still faces lots of security threats. There are some security vulnerabilities that yet to be solved. In this paper, we propose a dynamic-encryption authentication scheme, by which a mobile device could be authenticated by the network and a shared one-time-password could be generated. The security analysis shows that the proposed scheme could withstand Man-in-the-Middle attacks, impersonation attacks, reply attacks and DoS attacks. Our scheme is also formally verified.
