Abstract :
Network coding and opportunistic routing as transmission technologies of Wireless Mesh Network, which are based on the 802.11 broadcast channel access, have become more sophisticated. It is important to build more accurate models on broadcast channel access to analyze performance, such as throughput, delay, fairness and contention. This paper describes behavior of network nodes based on MAC layer queuing analysis and two-dimensional discrete-time Markov chain model. Thus the actual transmission rate of each node can be concluded. The simulation results show that the model can effectively predict the transmission performance under different levels of transmission load.
