Abstract :
Cloud Computing After Grid Computing, a new paradigm in the field of distributed computing which is significantly emerging is Cloud Computing. Cloud computing seems to be more promising in terms of request handling, security, flexibility and resource sharing. Its main feature is to maintain the Quality of Service provided to the end user in terms of processing power, failure rate, space utilization and many such Quality of Service parameters. Resource allocation, resource sharing, and request scheduling are some of the challenging and complex problems in cloud computing. Maintaining the resources and simultaneously scheduling the requests is a complex problem due to distributed nature of the cloud. Many algorithms have been proposed to solve this problem like viz., colony based, cost based, priority based algorithms. All these algorithms does not take into consideration the fault rate of datacenters or the nodes. A QoS aware Honey Bee scheduling algorithm is proposed for cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). In addition to fault rate, this algorithm also takes into consideration many additional parameters that are having significant role in cloud IaaS.
