Abstract :
This paper presents the parametric design and analysis of a slot coupled modified Bow-Tie antenna. We have used two approaches to optimize the result. In the first approach, coupling slot have square and circular shape while in second, two corners of patch are truncated. The result shows that square slot coupling gives return loss of -30 dB & VSWR of 0.59dB at 4.2GHz, while circular slot coupling shows reduced return loss of -13dB & VSWR of 3.6dB at frequency of 4.15 GHz. However, truncated Bowtie with square slot coupling has return loss of -15dB & VSWR of -3 dB at frequency of 4.45GHz.
