Abstract :
To solve the problem of the vehicle monitoring in the field of intelligent transportation, this paper introduced a scheme about the design of vehicle context-aware systems based on Ubiquitous Network, and described the development process of mobile phone client. In the paper, the Android intelligent mobile phone was used as the client which was developed a multi-function terminal. The intelligent client got the vehicle state information through WIFI communication, at the same time, obtained the information of GPS and the driving record, and then uploaded the collected data to the server by 3G network. This design used the Android intelligent phone as a client that reduced the difficulty and the cost of development. WIFI used as a means of communication ensured the reliability of data collection and upload, improving the stability of the system. Through the test and the actual movement confirmation, the system could meet the user´s demand. If the sever found the car abnormal state, it would start the alarm function in time. The system can become an important part of the intelligent transportation platform to solve the real-time vehicle monitoring. It also can flexibly expand other functions according to user´s demand. The design idea of development also has some reference value on the other context-aware systems.
