Abstract :
Alarm accuracy of infusion monitoring device mostly depends on drop speed measuring of infusion. A new drop speed calculation is put forward for the discontinuous characteristics of infusion. 5 drops is taken as a calculation unit. When new drop is detected, the time interval between new drop & its previous one will replace that between first one drop and second drop. The average drop speed will be calculated like that. Compared with the drop speed mentioned in Reference, this advantage of algorithms is of real time, reliability and effectively reducing wrong-alarm rate.
