Abstract :
In this paper, a new kind of distance between two LR fuzzy variables is proposed by pessimistic value and optimistic value. Some properties of the new distance are discussed. Furthermore, a metric space of LR fuzzy variables is defined and the completeness of this space is proved. Some results relating to the space are presented. Examples are given to illustrate the superiority.
