Abstract
Transient stability problems might occur in distribution networks with distributed generation, and we have to attach importance to this phenomenon. It is useful to investigate the transient stability analysis in distribution level as the distributed generation increasingly exists in today deregulated electric energy platform. A framework of a distribution network for transient stability analysis is present. An additional dynamic security region due to the using of DFACTS devices is described in this paper. The transient stability problem in distribution networks with inductions is analyzed. Simulation results shows that we can improve the transient stability of distribution networks by using DFACTS devices.
