Abstract :
Fiber Bragg Grating-External Cavity Laser (FBG-ECL) is a kind of core component because of its dynamic single mode. In this paper, the theory model of FBG-ECL is analyzed firstly, Secondly, the influence of coupling coefficient on the threshold gain of FBG-ECL is studied based on equivalent external cavity theory, research shows: using proper peak reflectivity will make FBG-ECL having high output power and high side-mode suppression ratio, Thirdly, utilizing the theory of equivalent cavity length, the high frequency response characteristic of FBG-ECL is discussed combined rate equations, Lastly, lasing spectrums of FBG-ECL on different grating peak reflectivity are obtained by measurement. Those results are consistent with preceding theoretical analysis.
