  • Abstract
    Symmetrical triple layer piezoelectric bimorphs are one of the most commonly used piezoelectric bending elements. In this paper, the acceleration sensing effect of the symmetrical triple layer piezoelectric bimorphs in parallel connection is analyzed by using three methods. Distinctions of the different methods are compared and a corresponding experimental verification of these models is also performed. Although little deviations exist, the sample´s charge sensitivity and resonant frequency calculated using the three methods are in good agreement with the results of the experiment.
