Abstract :
This paper describes a location receiver utilising GSM, operating on all the four bands allocated worldwide. The design eliminates the need for SAW filters or RF switches and the procedure is described for using the input matching components to give adequate selectivity. Results are presented which show this low-cost approach can give adequate sensitivity while rejecting blocking signals from nearby transmitters.
