  • Abstract
    In this paper, we propose a novel college physical education model based on multimedia technology. Firstly, we analyze the reasons why there are only a few schools using the multimedia technology in physical education process. Secondly, principles of applying the multimedia technology in college physical education are given, including: 1) updating the concept of physical education teaching, 2) flexible use of multimedia teaching methods to stimulate students´ intellectual curiosity, 3) multimedia technology based teaching allows students accepted the action essentials faster, and 4) to strengthen the training of physical education teachers multimedia teaching ability. Next, physical education model is used to connect teachers and students, and then multimedia data(such as image, video, animation) are utilized to construct a multimedia physical education model. Based the proposed model, teachers and students can contact with each other freely. Finally, to test the effectiveness of the proposed physical education approach, two experimental schemes is designed, and very positive experimental results are obtained.
