Abstract :
As Web Service is resource-intensive, it´s susceptible to denial of service (DoS). Due to its simple implementation, DoS attacks for Web Service based on source address forgery are widely adopted by attackers. How to protect Web Service from DoS attacks becomes a hot topic. This paper introduces a new MAC Token on the foundation of WS-Security into SOAP messages, which can effectively defend DoS attacks caused by source address forgery. In addition, we also take some measures to protect this token, preventing source address forgery DoS attacks more effectively and improving Web Service Security.
