Obituary [Francis J. Campbell]

Francis (Frank) J. Campbell, retired from the Naval Research Laboratories (NRL), passed away on March 10, 2013. Frank was a long-time active member of DEIS and helped guide activities in the early formative years. Frank was born on July 29, 1924, in Toledo, Ohio, served in the Army Air Corps in World War II, and graduated from the University of Toledo in 1948. Frank started his career at Dow Chemical Company and Dow Corning Corporation before joining NRL in Washington, DC, as a physical chemist in 1958.
