Abstract
Jamming is a serious security problem in wireless networks. Recently, software-based channel hopping has received attention as a jamming countermeasure. However, traditional hopping schemes may increase channel collision and restrain the channel efficiency when plenty of nodes work on only a few channels. To solve the problem, this paper focuses on defending against jamming attacks in a multi-channel wireless networks, where several malicious attackers intend to jam the communication by injecting interference. An optimal channel hopping and wireless sleeping joint defense scheme is derived to mitigate both wireless jamming attacks and channel collision. Numerical results indicate that our anti-jamming scheme is highly adaptable and resilient to different network scenarios. Furthermore, it is able to mitigate jamming attacks efficiently and improve transmission efficiency.
