Abstract :
A timing synchronization algorithm is proposed in this paper. By using moving average filtering and oscillation eliminate, this algorithm can expand the loop bandwidth 9 times and eliminate the oscillation before convergence. A 256 QAM signal, whose symbol rate is 6.4Mbps and normalized timing error is 0.7, is used to verify the proposed algorithm. Experiment results confirm the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. It takes less than 120 symbol period to converge, and the residual timing error of fractional interval is within 0.05.
