Abstract :
An iterative weighted L1 norm optimization algorithm is proposed for the synthesis of sparse array in this paper. First of all, the weighted L1 norm is presented to instead of L0 norm which requires solving an NP problem. Then in the optimization procedure, a closed-form solution which is used for the next iteration can be achieved. Simulation results show that, compared with the existed sparse array synthesis method, the proposed algorithm can obtain sparser array with shorter array aperture under the constraints of radiation characteristics.
