Abstract :
In this paper, a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) circulator with metallic-via inductive window is presented and investigated with simulation and experimental results, which can provide 20 dB isolation with 13.7% fractional bandwidth at the center frequency of 9.41 GHz. Besides, in order to connect with microstrip circuits, a compact SIW to microstrip transition with embedded feed-line is included in this design. Under the same bandwidth, the size of the proposed circulator with embedded feed-line can be decreased by 60% of the traditional circulator.
