  • Abstract
    The Engineering Criteria 2000 (EC2000) has become an internationally recognized benchmark for attributes to be attained by engineering undergraduates upon completion of their studies in an engineering programme. In Malaysia, the EC2000 equivalent attributes are defined by Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) as the twelve Programme Outcomes (PO) stated in Engineering Accreditation Manual. Specific missions and goals have become indicators for measurement of students´ achievement which includes knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary for engineers to meet the increasing demands of more complex society. In this paper, we discuss the assessment methods utilized to assess the learning outcomes in Digital Signal Processing course in Electronics and Computer Engineering Programme (PKEK) in University Malaysia Sarawak mapped to the Programme Outcomes. The results of the outcomes assessment show detailed analysis of each assessment method corresponding to the achievement of the outcomes which should be used to evaluate the effectiveness of academic programmers and activities and performance.
