Abstract :
Mobile devices with communication capabilities are nowadays widely diffused. People expect to be always connected and able to run a wide set of applications, including file download and online gaming. In this paper we consider a scenario where Internet connectivity is offered to users through a multihop wireless network and show how both the file download´s goodput and the online game´s per-packet delivery delay can be improved through an appropriate solution implemented on the wireless Internet gateway.
