Abstract :
We consider a controller failure time analysis problem for linear time-invariant feedback control systems consisting of an unstable system and a stabilizing state feedback controller. Both continuous-time and discrete-time systems are considered. By using a piecewise Lya-punov function, we show that if the unavailability rate of the controller is smaller than a specified constant and the average time interval between controller failures is large enough, then global exponential stability of the system is guaranteed.
