Abstract :
The paper considers the problems of designing self-tuning output voltage regulators for standalone wind power plants equipped with asynchronized synchronous generators. Variations in wind speed and load (such as connection and disconnection of electric customers) result in variable output voltage and frequency of a windmill. Using an asynchronized synchronous generator allows one to fairly easily change AC voltage and frequency in the rotor circuit over a wide range of rotor speeds by using a CRT converter, connected in the rotor circuit. This phenomenon can be efficiently used to stabilize output voltage and frequency over a wide range of rotor speeds and electric loads, for the stator output of the asynchronized synchronous generator may be easily controlled by adjusting the state of the rotor circuit. But the usual methods of attack do not permit obtaining required regulation performance. For that reason, we further consider the synthesis of a self-tuning regulators of output voltage. The mathematical modeling results of these regulators activity are presented.
