Abstract :
The emerging H.264/AVC video coding standard provides significant enhancements in compression efficiency with respect to its ancestors in the MPEG and H.26× families. In this paper, we analyse the performance of two different Constant Bit-Rate control methods, suitable for H.264/AVC encoding at SD-TV resolution, where the motion estimation is performed by a fast proprietary predictive algorithm.
