Abstract :
There are many control scenarios where common factors may appear in a transfer function model or equivalently uncontrollable modes in a state-space model. Such models however are not catered for in some predictive control algorithms with guaranteed stability. Here we explore how such modes affect these control laws and propose modified stable predictive control strategies to cater for common factors.
