Abstract :
This text makes a review about time delay system estimation in technical literature. Three approaches are examined from near distance. First, a discrete-time algorithm based on exact models and linear least squares is presented. Second, a continuous-time solution with approximate models and nonlinear least squares is analysed. And, at last, a unified estimation method of an overall model, based on approximations and still recurring to linear estimation, closes the paper.
